About the Collection
Hello! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Jasmine, and I'm the Illustrator and Designer behind Bohomin. I have been incredibly fortunate to travel through the streets of India, observing people, their lifestyle, and illustrating them.
To me these streets are like an open theater where people play their unique roles in a natural and raw form. Whenever I have a chance I love having casual conversations with people. At first glance they may seem ordinary but when you get to know their story, their unique intricacies, imperfections, and exceptional qualities become apparent, enhancing their overall beauty. Similarly, my designs may appear simple at first but when you look closely you'll see the intricacies in it. It's a design style that is both minimalistic and intricate, mirroring the complexity of human nature.
In this era of new technology, I somehow find old vintage tools very fascinating. These street sellers mostly inherit the skills from their families, and it's truly beautiful to see the work they do using those old inherited vintage tools. They can easily upgrade the tools with new technologies but they don't do so because for them work is not just a job but also a family tradition.
I mostly design in black, and the red element in my design represents my love for design. Every time I draw red in a design, I feel as if I'm pouring all my honest emotions of love and fascination into the design piece.
I find a lot of joy in being outdoors, adventuring, creating, and exploring whenever I can, which shows throughout my work. I hope my art can succeed in delivering these experiences and emotions to you!
